Virginia Beach, Virginia – Officially ushering in the holiday season at the Virginia Beach oceanfront, the 2018 Cox Communications Holiday Parade at the Beach will be held Saturday, December 1, at 5:30pm.

We are delighted to welcome Cox Communications as our name-in-title sponsor for this year’s 24^th annual Holiday Parade at the Beach!  2018 marks Cox Communications’ 40th year of connecting Hampton Roads to the things that matter most.  With a focus on looking back and thinking forward, Cox Communications continues its tradition of commitment to its employees, residential and business customers and the community.  At this year’s Holiday Parade, Cox Communications is celebrating the importance of the human connection.

90 parade units will make their way down Atlantic Avenue in a joyous celebration of the holiday season.  Giant balloons, marching bands, lighted floats, fire trucks, performing dance groups, motorcycles, and more will join forces to present a dazzling and entertaining night of fun for all ages!

And, best of all, Santa himself promises to make a grand appearance to greet all his loyal fans as the evening winds down and thousands of families take the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Virginia Beach oceanfront!

The parade will travel North on Atlantic Avenue from 15th Street to 25th Street.  The reviewing stand will be located at 25th Street and Atlantic Avenue.

SKY4, WSKY-TV, will record and broadcast the parade four times over the holiday season.  Owned and operated by Lockwood Broadcast Group based in Hampton, VA and Richmond, VA, SKY4’s signal reaches over 715,000 homes and more than 1.8 million viewers in the Norfolk-Portsmouth-Newport News DMA.
