4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS HAVE BEEN CANCELED FOR THIS YEAR, due to Commonwealth of Virginia Governor Executive Order 65 prohibiting large events and directing individuals that it is safer at home in response to COVID-19.
There will be a modified schedule of entertainment with DJs at 17th Street Park and 24th Street Park from 7:30pm-11:00pm on Friday-Sunday, July 3-5.
The City of Virginia Beach is following guidelines from the Virginia State Department of Health and Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Live! on Atlantic’s top priority is the health and safety of all our guests, participants, volunteers and staff.

Multiple live performances on oceanfront stages will attract thousands of visitors and residents of Virginia Beach to a “star-spangled” salute to this great country of ours at Stars & Stripes Explosion on July 4! Scheduled live entertainment offers something for everyone: patriotic and classical to tribute bands, and naturally, fireworks. All Stars & Stripes Explosion performances are free and everyone is welcome.
The U.S. Fleet Forces rock band, "Four Star Edition," will kick off the evening on the 24th Street Beach Stage with an energy-filled show including popular songs from Jonas Brothers to Journey and Dua Lipa to Lady Antebellum.
The evening on the 24th Street Beach Stage will continue with a performance by the U.S. Fleet Forces Wind Ensemble. This 40-member ensemble will present a Pops Concert filled with nostalgia and timeless classics for all ages. The program will feature solos highlighting the world-class talent of its members, music from the big screen and, of course, patriotic favorites! This is a great opportunity to celebrate the birth of our country and the freedom to enjoy music together again at a concert that the whole family is sure to love!
Also along the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, Chester B’s Motown Review pays tribute to one of the greatest eras in music history on the 17th Street Park Stage beginning at 7 pm. Bring your dancing shoes for a night full of grown-up fun! This red, white and blue evening of music and fun continues with rockin’ country band Buckshot, CMA/Nashville recording artist Celeste Kellogg and DJ Ty Street crashing the 31st Street Park Stage at 7 pm.
Fireworks launched off the surf at 24th Street finishes the memorable evening on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront at 9:30 pm.
